The Illinois Brewing Company in Bloomington, Illinois, once again hosted the Blues Blowtorch Society's annual membership drive. The event opened with a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner sung by Katie O'Neall. That was followed by an acoustic blues set performed by Billy Galt on guitar and Steve the Harp on harmonica.

Exit 125 Blues Band played two sets and showed why their 8-piece rythm and blues band is so popular. They claim they play just for the fun of it -- and it shows!!!

Finally, Hip Pocket headlined the show. One of the tightest bands in the area showed why they continue to be a local favorite.

A special thanks to Gary Lundberg who designed a 7 foot tall statue of liberty just for the event (see photos below). That image was also applied to t-shirts which can still be purchased in either yellow or light grey. (Check out the merchandise page for more details.) Gary, who also designed the organization's logo, always comes through with art work that dazzles.
